Shakawe River Lodge is set on the banks of the Okavango River in North Western Botswana. Elegantly decorated with African artefacts, the main lodge area was designed to maximize the river view and brings style and splendour to the exquisite surroundings. Each of the ten spacious, en suite, air-conditioned suites are beautifully appointed. Each unit is tucked away in the shady riverine forest with private decks overlooking a small channel. The structural design incorporates thatch and ferro cement set on timber decks. With a combination of earthly colours lightened with contemporary furnishing, the lodge takes on a modern version of traditional building methods and finishes.
