Located on the periphery of Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Kiho Gorilla Safari Lodge will create a haven to Gorilla Trekking enthusiasts. The architectural design incorporates mono-pitch roof structures and multi-level buildings to accommodate the slope of the site as well as allowing for efficient rain water harvesting. The 8 accommodation units and the main area, which offers a library, dining room, lounge and spa facilities, are orientated towards the view of the forest.  Local building methods are used in a contemporary way to make Kiho Gorilla Safari Lodge a unique design for its kind and location. The interior design with its emerald green and hints of gold mimics the subtle palette found in the forest, and the furniture pieces and décor create an atmosphere of understated luxury.
